Volunteers of America Delaware Valley Launches Underwearness Campaign
A donation drive to bring dignity back to those in need throughout the Delaware Valley
Camden, N.J. – Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is providing the bare necessities to its clients through its Underwearness Campaign – a new donation drive during March 2023 to collect packages of underwear for men, woman and children in VOADV’s supportive programs.
“Underwear is the number one most requested item by clients who turn to us for help, shelter and assistance,” explains Daniel L. Lombardo, President and CEO of VOADV. “Unfortunately, it is also the most severely overlooked necessity and oftentimes the one donation item we are in need of the most.”
VOADV is asking the local community to get involved by donating any new, unopened packages of underwear of all sizes – children through adult – to the campaign by March 31, 2023.
“Through our Underwearness Campaign, our goal is to give back dignity to those in need of assistance of all ages, setting up individuals and families on a path toward long-term success,” continued Lombardo.
A number of local businesses are also getting involved in the Underwearness Campaign, serving as donation drop-off sites for those who wish to contribute new, unopened packs of underwear to the campaign.
