Neuro-Cognitive Disorder Program
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, in partnership with Philadelphia's Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disability Services, has developed two new residential facilities for adults to meet the unique needs of individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) transitioning back into the community. Referrals to this program will be coordinated exclusively through Philadelphia's Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disabilities.
We offer a multi-component intervention set in a treatment environment. Key components of the treatment include:
- Assessment of cognitive functioning and daily living skills
- Case management
- Community-based mental health and psychiatric services
- Community-based occupational speech and physical therapies
- Community-based employment and education services
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and life skills training
- Wellness program
- Treatment for co-occurring disorders
- On-site nursing
- Community-based physician services
- Social support services
