Help Those Most in Need During COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 Presents Unique Challenges for Vulnerable Populations
As communities across the nation face difficult challenges during this unprecedented time of crisis, local businesses and organizations are working to ensure that individuals and families can receive the care and services they need, without interruption.
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is no different – our team is working around the clock to ensure our clients receive the direct, immediate services they need most.
Our clients are our communities’ most vulnerable populations – they are facing challenges during this crisis that are even more dire and extreme than the average individual. Grocery store shelves are empty, public transportation is limited, medical facilities are overwhelmed, and millions have lost their paychecks, jobs and a way to sustain life.
These challenges may seem insurmountable. But at VOADV, we still have hope – and now, more than ever, we need your support.
To better assist those in need, VOADV will be now be accepting donated items every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at our Collingswood office – 235 White Horse Pike, West Collingswood, NJ 08107. We are asking for items such as hand sanitizers, Clorox wipes, antibacterial cleaning spray, disposable gloves, bottled water, diapers, baby wipes, non-perishable packaged food and drinks, baby food and more. You may drop-off these items through our new “contact-free” drop-off zone, as we continue to adhere to recommended social distancing protocol.
We also understand that many may not be comfortable or able to leave their homes at this time. For that, we offer an alternative way to give – VOADV is asking you to make a $19 donation online to fight COVID-19. Every dollar that is donated will be used to help provide food, housing, care and aid to those in your community impacted by COVID-19.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your continued support of VOADV during this time of crisis. Your gift truly makes a difference to our staff and clients, allowing us to continue our efforts to safely serve individuals, families and communities during these uncertain times.
