VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA DELAWARE VALLEY HOSTS GROUDNBREAKING OF NEW AFFORDABLE SENIOR HOUSING PROJECT IN BORDENTOWN
WHAT: Volunteers of America Delaware Valley will be hosting a groundbreaking event to commence the building of a new affordable housing project, Waterfront Village, for seniors in the Bordentown community. The 70 unit housing community will also set aside 5 units for homeless veterans.
WHERE: Future site of Waterfront Village, located at 18 Bordentown-Burlington Rd., Bordentown, N.J. Please reference map for further locality details.
WHO: Volunteers of America Delaware Valley in partnership with TD Bank, Bordentown Township Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the NewJersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency will come together to break ground on the new 70 unit affordable housing community for seniors and homeless veterans. The development will consist of large one-bedroom units with energy efficient appliances and fixtures, laundry facilities, community rooms and walking paths that connect the counties beautiful trail network. During the groundbreaking there will be scheduled speeches from Dan Lombardo β Hostβ President/CEO, Judy Donlen β Board Chair Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, Assemblyman Troy Singleton , Rob Curley β TD Bank Market President South Jersey and Steve Benowitz β Bordentown Mayor.
Waterfront Village is projected to be completed in August 2018.
