HOMELESS SERVICES

TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF THOSE IN NEED

Homeless Services

We understand housing is more than just shelters- housing is central to establishing the stability one needs to survive and thrive.

Volunteers of America’s mission is to transform lives, reduce recidivism and help improve public health and safety for the communities we serve. We concentrate on the development of independence and self-sufficiency while treating every individual with the respect and dignity they deserve. From emergency shelters and transitional housing to being a leading provider of social services, our focus is on addressing the specific needs of each individual that will help them overcome factors that might lead to homelessness.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley offer a comprehensive and full continuum of care to individuals experiencing homelessness.  As a part of these services we offer immediate, direct services including comprehensive case management, linkage to medical, mental, and behavioral health care, job readiness, employment placement, education, and housing.

Through the provision of rapid response and resource brokerage, we seek to streamline service delivery for at-risk individuals and divert them away from costly crisis-oriented systems, including emergency rooms and jails, and to social service providers who can more appropriately address their needs.

“We provide direct, immediate services to all those who seek our assistance."
