Steve ShultzCo-Vice President of Public Policy
Prior to joining Volunteers of America, Steve served as South Jersey Director to United States Senator Frank Lautenberg. There, he handled a wide range of issues affecting the region including environment, transportation, energy, appropriations, and homeland security. Before working for Senator Lautenberg, Steve was Legislative Policy Director to Assemblyman Louis Greenwald. His concentration there was budget and appropriations, property taxes, auto insurance, and health care. He was also responsible for local issues effecting New Jersey’s municipalities and counties. Steve holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University. As Co-Vice President of Public Policy, Steve is responsible for tracking legislative and regulatory priorities for the organization. Focusing primarily on New Jersey, he monitors important issues and political trends that could positively or negatively effect Volunteers of America’s mission of service. |
