Close to 1900 adults and children will experience homelessness during the year in Camden County alone.  Volunteers of America Delaware Valley’s service area is the entire Philadelphia metro region, including Delaware.  Homeless students miss school more often, have higher dropout rates, lower graduation rates, and are held back more often than students with permanent housing.  A new backpack and school supplies can add a degree of normalcy lacking in their lives thereby giving them a better chance to thrive.
